It is illegal to smoke cannabis in the state of Texas at this time so you cannot smoke cannabis flower, nor can it be prescribed. The hope is in the near future, Texas makes it legal.

Texas Health and Safety Code §481.111(e) (1)provides exemptions from state laws prohibiting possession of marijuana for patients as well as their legal guardians for whom low-THC cannabis is prescribed under a legal prescription. The legal prescription will have to come from a state approved cannabis prescribing physician and also purchased from a licensed dispensary (Goodblend, Texas Original, and Fluent).

While each individual responds differently to medical cannabis, the cannabis plant is 100% all natural. The plant offers symptomatic aid to a variety of qualified medical conditions. As mentioned however, medical cannabis may interfere with other prescriptions, so it is recommended to speak with your physician about your medical history to determine if medical cannabis is appropriate.

Medical cannabis under the federal controlled substances act, is considered a schedule I substance. Because of that it is considered an illegal substance and thefore illegal to travel with outside the state of Texas. Within the state it is legal however ONLY when driving. It is illegal to fly by plane within the state of Texas. We recommend to travel with your prescription information when doing so.

After completion of your consultation via telemedicine (virtually) with the physician, it will take only a few mins to enter your prescription through the CURT system. You will then in no time be able to contact one of the 3 state issued dispensaries to have your prescription filled and completed. It takes anywhere from 1-3 days to retrieve your prescription via delivery. Depending on where you live, there may be a few same day deliveries of your prescription.

It is recommended to store medical cannabis product in a cool and dry setting. Leaving the products in the refrigerator, hot or humid environment is not recommended.

Your employer can contact the DPS at (512)-424-0290 for verification. The Department of Public Safety (DPS) is in charge of storing all prescriptions in a database online. The DPS is in direct relationship with Texas dispensing organizations.
